Banana Marble Cake (No eggs, No butter)

This marble cake was purely baked on the passion of its design... It is as usual an eggless, butterless cake harboring on the flavour of banana. You can find the original recipe here... The cake turned out a little flat as I directly used yogurt from the fridge without bringing it down to room temperature... but nevertheless there wasn't any compromise on its taste.... This time I learned to be patient enough to invert it only after resting it for some time and so this baby slided on to the wire rack without a fuss and mess...

You will need..........

Banana - 1 cup (mashed)
Flour - 1 and 1/2 cups
Curd - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Oil - 1/4 cup
Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1/8 tsp
Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp (mix it without lumps in 1/2 tsp oil)
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

Get going............
  1. In a bowl mix sugar with curd until it dissolves completely.
  2. Add mashed bananas, oil, vanilla to the sugar-curd mixture.
  3. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  4. Add in the sifted ingredients to the wet mixture and combine well. Do not overmix.
  5. Take one-fourth of the batter and stir in the cocoa powder.
  6. In a baking pan, pour both the batters alternatively and finally give a stir with the back of your spoon or knife to get the marble effect.
  7. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 deg for 25-30 min until done.
  8. Wait for it to cool... invert over wire rack.... slice it after it cools completely.

Enjoy the cake warm along with a cup of tea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
